Core Competencies with the College of Electrical and Communication Engineering, Yuan Ze University

Core Competencies and Their Definitions with the College of Electrical and Communication Engineering:

1. Honesty: Learn honestly in every educational process.

2. Respect: Respect teachers of different styles, peers, and everyone who comes to you. Even classrooms, labs, and any space should also be respected.

3. Responsibility: Recognize one's own identity and responsibility. The responsibility that students should fulfill is to study and receive education in a solid manner.

4. Ethics: Obey the rules and do not transgress them.

5. Time Management: Cherish time and managing time effectively.

6. Fundamental Knowledge: Develop a solid foundation in the professional field of study.

7. Project Integration and Practice: Make good use of known knowledge of integration and expansion to perform practical verification for a certain topic.

8. Innovation: Create new ideas different from those of others.

9. Writing: Have the ability to express specific topics and connotations clearly with correct words, grammar, logical paragraphs, and article organization.

10. Communication: Report clearly in written or oral to share or welly communicate the connotation of a specific topic with others.

11. Coordination: Demonstrate a good coordination process and achieve acceptable results when the best of both worlds is not possible.

12. Teamwork: Work with others to complete a project, and, in addition to the substantial acquisition of professional knowledge, also obtain life-learning outcomes that are conducive to personal growth, such as understanding oneself, the differences between others and oneself, and adapting to changes in the environment.

13. Habitual Reading: Focus on reading complete books or related information media on specific topics. Habitual reading enables individuals to absorb knowledge in different fields at any time, including: professional, general education, astronomy, geography, humanities, philosophy, art, and the ever-increasing knowledge of the Internet.

14. Execution: Finish any type of learning or training to the end and complete it within the deadline.

15. Acceptance of Challenge: We will not be afraid of difficulties for any type of class, test, or project and have the courage to take on a challenge. Students will get a positive education in the process.

16. Self-Understanding: In each course of study, students should examine their own approaches and attitudes.

17. Self-Learning: When studying or facing an issue that is not understood, students have the spirit of inquiry, make good use of various normal means, try to understand as much as possible, and share their experience with others

18. Adapting to the Environment: As the environment is often unpredictable, students should learn to accept the facts at any time and adjust themselves to be in the best state to face another battlefield.
