The Method of Journal Paper Award for Students
Adopted by the College Faculty Meeting, March 23, 2021
Article 1
The College of Electrical and Communication Engineering (hereinafter referred to as the College) has issued this method for publications of research results in international journals in order to enhance our academic status and reputation as well as the research achievement of undergraduates and master students during their studies.
Article 2
The award criteria are as follows:
1. To maintain an academic level, only publications in SCI-Expended journals are considered.
2. The paper must be completed in a department (graduate school, degree program, or class) within our College, and published with the name of our University, where the award must be applied within two years after the acceptance or appearance of the paper.
Article 3
The application period for this award is within one month of the beginning of each semester, and a photocopy of the first page of the published paper should be attached. For those only accepted for publication, the photocopy of the first page of the submitted paper and the acceptance letter must be submitted. The reward will be issued immediately after approval (those who have been accepted for publication may apply first, and the award will be given after the official publication
Article 4
Award Criteria
1. Full papers will be awarded NT$2,000 each and short papers will be awarded NT$1,000 each.
2. Each paper will be awarded once only, and if there are more than one students listed as authors in the paper, the award will be distributed by their thesis advisor.
3. The student author listed in the paper will be awarded a certificate by the College for encouragement.
4. One certificate will be issued for each paper, where the award is limited to one merit-based application per person per semester.
5. The total awards may be varying according to the budget of each academic year. If there is no budget for an academic year, the award method will be given in the form of a certificate only instead of money.
6. If the student with the award violates academic ethics, the award and the certificate shall be recovered.
Article 5
There is no limit to the number of papers awarded to each undergraduate and master student during the semester.
Article 6
This Method shall be implemented after the approval of the College Faculty Meeting and shall be amended in the same manner.
