主旨:本校EMI教學資源中心與國立臺北科技大學雙語化學習推動中心共同辦理「ESP專業英文師資增能認證」課程,敬邀貴校ESP/EMI教師踴躍報名參訓,請惠予公假並依各校規範核予獎勵,請查照。
說明:
一、為協助各校銜接EMI課程,學校應對學生提供充分培訓與支持,並建議於大一起開設ESP(English for Special Purposes,專業領域英文)課程,以結合校內英語教學單位與各學院需求,奠定學生良好的專業領域語言基礎,接軌EMI課程。
二、國立臺灣科技大學EMI教學資源中心特與國立臺北科技大學合作辦理「ESP專業英文師資增能認證」課程,導入國際學術資源及專業英文課程建構經驗實踐分享,銜接各校特色之全英語授課(EMI)教學方針,從ESP與EMI面向雙軌並進,全面推動雙語教學。相關報名資訊如下:
(一)課程時間:115年4月11日~115年5月23日,共計24小時。
(二)辦理方式:混成式課程,含線上及實體。
(三)辦理地點:Google Meet及國立臺北科技大學(實體成果分享)。
(四)課程講師:國立臺北科技大學應用英文系、Fulbright英語教學顧問團隊聯合授課。
(五)參訓對象:各大專校院專任(案)英語教師或EMI教師。

(七)報名日期:即日起開放報名至3/27(五)止,錄取名單將於4/2(四)公告。

三、ESP為教育部推動雙語計畫之重點項目,建請貴校積極鼓勵並遴派ESP及EMI教師參與。

Subject: Invitation to Participate in the “ESP Teacher Professional Development Certification Program”
Explanation:
To facilitate the transition to English-Medium Instruction (EMI) courses across universities, institutions are encouraged to provide sufficient training and support for students. It is recommended that English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses be offered starting in the first year of undergraduate study. Such courses integrate the resources of campus English teaching units with the needs of different academic colleges, helping students build a strong foundation in discipline-specific English and prepare for EMI courses.
The EMI Teaching Resource Center of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology will jointly organize the “ESP Teacher Professional Development Certification Program” in collaboration with the Bilingual Education Center of National Taipei University of Technology. The program incorporates international academic resources and practical experiences in developing ESP curricula. It aims to align with each institution’s EMI teaching strategies and promote bilingual education by advancing both ESP and EMI approaches. The registration information is as follows:
(1) Course Duration: April 11, 2026 – May 23, 2026 (Total: 24 hours)
(2) Format: Hybrid course, including both online and in-person sessions
(3) Venue: Google Meet and National Taipei University of Technology (in-person final presentation session)
(4) Instructors: Faculty members from the Department of Applied English at National Taipei University of Technology, jointly teaching with the Fulbright Program English Teaching Advisory Team
(5) Participants: Full-time (or project-based) English instructors or EMI instructors from universities and colleges

(9) Attachment: Event poster. The program includes lectures, discussions, and demonstrations, and a certificate of completion will be issued. The course content and schedule may be adjusted according to actual circumstances. Any updates will be announced in the registration form and the latest event agenda.
ESP is a key component of the bilingual education initiative promoted by the Ministry of Education (Taiwan). Universities are encouraged to actively promote and nominate ESP and EMI instructors to participate in this program.
In line with the 2030 Bilingual Nation Policy, the Ministry of Education (Taiwan) commissioned National Taiwan University of Science and Technology to establish the EMI Teaching Resource Center in 2024 to provide EMI-related services for faculty members and students across universities in Taiwan.
