【轉知】國立中興大學-「專業學術英語講座」/National Chung Hsing University - "Professional Academic English Lectures"

主旨：檢送本校EMI教學資源中心與國立東華大學語言中心合作辦理2場「專業學術英語講座」，敬請惠予轉知並鼓勵貴校教師踴躍報名參加，請查照。

說明：

一、為協助各大專院校提升專業學術英文(English for Specific Academic Purposes，簡稱 ESAP)課程之教學知能，本校EMI教學資源中心與國立東華大學語言中心將合作辦理旨揭2場講座，秉持資源共享之理念，提升教師教授ESAP課程之助益及成效。

二、旨揭2場講座資訊如下：

(一)第一場線上講座

１、主題：EMI學術語言應用策略

２、時間：113年10月11日（五） 13：10~14：00

３、講者：台灣師範大學師資培育學院及物理學系陳育霖副教授

(二)第二場線上講座

１、主題：EMI導向的ESP課程規畫與教學

２、時間：113年10月18日（五） 13：10~14：00

３、講者：國立臺北科技大學應用英文系林彥良教授

三、報名資訊：

(一)報名日期：報名時間為即日起，第一場至113年10月9日截止；第二場至113年10月16日截止。

(二)報名對象：全國大專校院教師。

We are pleased to share information regarding two "Professional Academic English Lectures" organized in collaboration with the Language Center of National Dong Hwa University. Please disseminate this information and encourage your faculty to actively register for participation.

Details of the Lectures:

  1. Objective: To assist higher education institutions in enhancing their teaching competencies for English for Specific Academic Purposes (ESAP), the EMI Teaching Resource Center and the Language Center of National Dong Hwa University will jointly host these two lectures, promoting resource sharing to improve the effectiveness of teaching ESAP courses.

  2. Lecture Information:

    First Online Lecture

    • Topic: Strategies for Applying EMI Academic Language
    • Date and Time: October 11, 2024 (Friday), 1:10 PM - 2:00 PM
    • Speaker: Associate Professor Chen Yu-Lin, College of Teacher Education and Department of Physics, National Taiwan Normal University

  3. Second Online Lecture

    • Topic: EMI-Oriented ESP Course Planning and Teaching
    • Date and Time: October 18, 2024 (Friday), 1:10 PM - 2:00 PM
    • Speaker: Professor Lin Yen-Liang, Department of Applied English, National Taipei University of Technology

  4. Registration Information:

    • Registration Period: Open now; the deadline for the first lecture is October 9, 2024, and for the second lecture, it is October 16, 2024.
    • Target Audience: Faculty members from colleges and universities nationwide.
