Academic Award and Multi-Skills Award Review Rules for Students from the College of Electrical and Communication Engineering, Yuan Ze University

Article  1 In order to encourage students of the College of Electrical and Communication (hereinafter referred to as “the College”) to have excellent and outstanding academic performance during their studies, the College has formulated these regulations in accordance with the Student Award Regulations of the University.


Article  2   Students who fulfill the following requirements are eligible to apply for academic or multi-skill awards:

  1. Academic Gold Quality Award: Those who have won the first place in a national academic competition, the first three places in an international academic competition, or honors in an academic competition, and those in undergraduate or graduate program whose studies or research results have been published in prestigious journals at home and abroad, and the journals are an A-grade journal of the College.
  2. Academic Silver Quality Award: Those who are the top three winners of internal and external academic competitions, and those in undergraduate or graduate program whose studies or research results have been published in prestigious journals at home and abroad, and the journals are an B-grade journal of the College.
  3. Academic Achievement Award: Those who have received two Academic Silver Quality Awards or one Academic Gold Quality Award and are eligible to apply for the Academic Gold Quality Award again.
  4. Multi-Skills Gold Quality Award: Those who have passed the national senior examination (including equivalent examinations), the college-recognized Grade A national technician skills test or language test with outstanding results (according to Student Award Regulations of Yuan Ze University).
  5. Multi-Skills Silver Quality Award: Those who have passed the national junior examination (including equivalent examinations), the college-recognized Grade B national technician skills test or language test with outstanding results (according to Student Award Regulations of Yuan Ze University).
  6. Multi-skill Achievement Award: Those who have won the Multi-Skill Silver Quality Award twice or the Multi-Skill Gold Quality Award once and are eligible to apply for the Multi-Skill Gold Award again.


Article  3   Students who are eligible for this award may apply to the department (group, program) or to a unit at the same level for recommendation by themselves or by the relevant unit based on relevant information, such as study or research results, copies of papers from famous domestic and foreign journals, and results or awards won in academic competitions. The application will be reviewed at the College meeting and then sent to the student affairs meeting of the Office of Student Affairs for re-examination.


Article  4   Matters not covered in these rules shall be handled in accordance with the provisions of the Student Award Regulations of the University.


Article  5   These rules will be approved by the college affairs meeting and submitted to the student affairs meeting for approval before implementation.


In case of any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
